Terms of
use.

The rules that apply when you use Shacaale as a rider or driver. Please read them before your first trip.

1. Using Shacaale

Shacaale connects riders with independent bajaj drivers. By using the website or apps, you agree to these terms and to use the service lawfully and respectfully. You must provide accurate account information and keep your account secure.

2. Rides and fares

Ride estimates are shown before you request and are based on the active fare settings and route at that time. The in-app estimate is the reference for the trip. Traffic, waiting time, a changed destination, or other conditions may affect the final fare. Confirm any change with your driver before continuing.

Payment is made for the ride as arranged through the service. Always confirm the amount before paying.

3. Pickup verification

Each ride includes a pickup PIN. Riders should share the PIN only with the driver assigned to the ride. Drivers should not start a trip until the rider has confirmed the PIN. If the driver, vehicle, or plate does not match the app, the rider should not start the ride.

4. Driver accounts

Drivers must hold a valid licence, a registered bajaj, and the documents required for approval. Shacaale may review, suspend, or decline a driver account where information is inaccurate, safety standards are not met, or these terms are breached. During the launch period, drivers keep the agreed fare; any future service fee will be communicated before it applies.

5. Safety and conduct

Riders and drivers must treat each other with respect. Do not use Shacaale for unlawful activity, harassment, fraud, or the transport of prohibited goods. Read the community guidelines for the full conduct standards and how reports are handled. If you feel unsafe, stop in a safe public place and contact local emergency services if needed.

6. Closing your account

You can request closure of your rider or driver account through the account deletion page. We verify ownership before closing an account and will explain what is deleted and what may be retained for legal, tax, safety, or dispute purposes.

7. Availability

Shacaale is available in selected districts of Mogadishu and may change coverage over time. We do not guarantee that a driver will be available for every request, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance, network issues, or events outside our control.

8. Liability

Shacaale provides the platform that connects riders and drivers. Drivers are responsible for the operation of their vehicles and for complying with applicable road and transport rules. To the extent permitted by law, Shacaale is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
