Account deletion

Delete your
account.

You can ask Shacaale to close your rider or driver account and delete the personal information linked to it. This page is the public deletion route for both apps.

The process

Three steps to
close your account.

We verify ownership before deleting anything. This protects riders and drivers from someone else requesting removal of their account.

  1. Send the request

Use the form below from the email address on your Shacaale account, or email hello@shacaale.com with the subject “Account deletion request”.

  2. We verify it is you

We may ask you to confirm your registered phone number or another detail linked to the account. We will never ask for your password or a one-time code.

  3. We close and delete

We will confirm when the account has been closed and tell you what was deleted and what must be retained.

What is deleted

Account and profile

Your name, email, phone, account credentials, saved places, and device tokens linked to the account.

What may be retained

Limited ride and driver records

Some trip, payment, safety, or vehicle records may be kept where required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or dispute purposes. Those records are restricted and kept only as long as needed.

Timing

Acknowledged in 7 days

We aim to acknowledge every deletion request within seven days and complete it within 30 days, subject to verification and any active ride or unresolved payment.

Drivers

Finish active work first

Complete any active ride and settle outstanding amounts before requesting deletion. Approved vehicle documents form part of the account record reviewed by Shacaale.

Deletion request

Tell us which account.

This form opens your email app with a prepared request. You can also send the same details directly to hello@shacaale.com. We will not ask for your password or a verification code.

Before you delete

Alternatives to
closing it all.

If you only want help with a specific issue, support may be able to fix it without losing your account and trip history.

In-app deletion. The current web request route is the supported deletion process. If a later version of the app includes an in-app “Delete account” control, that option will also direct you to this same deletion process and timeline.
Privacy questions. You can ask what personal information we hold, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern at hello@shacaale.com.
